There has never been an opportunity before to publish this series, which I have made in the summer. It's my first and (till now) only series of street photography and I thought it would fit in the photography assignment for March “Black and White" (Click HERE for details).
From a distance I observe that day a childrens party, organized by a local supermarket. I wait to see what will happen. The weather is beautiful and there is a lot to do. Cotton candy, an inflatable party jumper, clowns, balloon figure making and a kids train. I see smart kids find their way to the front of the queue without waiting their turn. In the meantime a mother is mad at the train driver because he already pulls up while children are still boarding the train.
A little bit farther a father makes sure that his tiny little daughter will not be overrun by the mass. It is a chaos of children and parents. For me it is a unique opportunity to take pictures. From a considerable distance and with the telephoto zoom lens to avoid posed pictures.
Vergroot zijn de foto's mooier. The photos are enlarged even more beautiful.
Thanks to all my friends abroad for their spontaneous, nice comments and praising words on my last blog. I hope we keep in touch. Of course I will visit you on your own blog, although it may take sometimes a little longer.
Groetjes/Greetings, Joke
